I have a confession to make. When Iam making presentations I quote from this book to sound smarter than I really am. If you have been to my events and felt that way, it’s probably because of Mark Victor Hansen and Robert Allen’s book Cracking the millionaire code. This book is not for the typical get-rich-quick, pie-in-the-sky romantics who are quick to dream but just as quick to give up on their dreams. The two authors recognized that most people are great starters but lousy finishers. Hansen and Allen mentions that wealth is a marathon, not a 100-yard dash.
Below are a few quotes that enlightened me as I read the Cracking the Millionaire Code: Your Key to Enlightened Wealth.
- Your problems are good. They are power in disguise.
- When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.
- Thought is your only currency!
- This is an absolute law: You’ve got to be rich inside to become and remain rich outside. Become rich inside and your mental equivalent will manifest in your experience.
- Most people’s goals are too low and too slow.
- Each one, reach one. Each one, teach one. Until all are taught.
- People don’t buy with their head but with their heart. The heart is closer to the wallet than the head.
- You can do a lot more good with money than without it.
- You control your future, your destiny. What you think about comes about. By recording your dreams and goals on paper, you set in motion the process of becoming the person you most want to be. Put your future in good hands — your own.
- Life is a mirror. You get what you see. If you project anger into the mirror that is what you get back. If you project joy into the mirror, it reflects joy right back to you. Failure for failure. Success for success. What you project is what is reflected back to you.
- What kind of believer are you? Do you believe IN God?. Or do you believe God? There is a major distinction. People who believe in God, simply acknowledge the existence of a Higher Power. People who believe God believe Him enough to do what He says.
- Decide what you want. Decide what you are willing to exchange for it. Establish your priorities and go to work.
The book starts with this thought provoking and motivating piece from the authors:
‘IMAGINE THIS . . . Standing outside your front door at this moment are two prosperous looking
Gentlemen. The taller of the two reaches out and knocks. You open the door to find Mark and Bob—the authors of this book— standing in front of you, smiling. “Congratulations!” we say. “You have been selected as a contestant on our new reality TV show, Cracking the Millionaire Code. You and 19 other contestants will be Organized into four separate teams. Each team will be given the task of coming up with a brand-new, million-dollar idea for creating Enlightened Wealth. You’ll test your idea and launch it with the goal of earning a million dollars in cash. Your team will donate the first 10% of your profit to the charity you choose before you start. Three other teams will be competing with you. “The Grand Prize? The team that earns and donates the most ‘enlightened’ money will win an extra million dollars.

I know this sound too melodramatic for the business book but I can assure you the drama ends in that short introduction and reality begins there and then. By the time you finish reading this book your business idea would have gone through a lot processes to assure its not a fly by night product. And if you already have a business and or a product, then reading this book will will help you unlock your wealth code.
